Desiree Salas is an Oakland clothing designer that loves making pretty dresses using colorful retro-influenced fabrics and silhouettes. All of her limited piece 1940’s style wrap dresses and “Madmen” secretary dresses evoke a femininity from a by-gone era. Years of experience in the garment industry as a Technical designer and Patternmaking instructor at the Academy of Art has led her to perfect her fit. Desiree designs and drafts all of her garment patterns and love’s the “architecture” of a well-made garment. When she owned her Alameda boutique it was voted “Best Slow Fashion Boutique” by the East Bay Express in 2013.
Her designs are currently available at fine boutiques in Oakland and on her Etsy shop.
